Craig Fire/Rescue is committed to friendly, visible
community interaction through the support of local events and
organizations. Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters do not receive
compensation for public events and are often required to take time
off from their primary employment to meet public relations requests.
Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters will make every effort to participate
in events upon request.
Craig Fire/Rescue participates in a number of community activities
annually including: Fourth of July Fireworks, Parade of Lights,
Homecoming Parade, Whittle the Wood, Moffat County Fair, Moffat
County Air Show and Clean-up Craig Chamber Activities.
In addition, Craig Fire/Rescue firefighters make every attempt to
accommodate requests for educational visits to schools, day cares,
assisted living facilities and businesses. Educational visits
encompass general fire safety education, development of escape
plans, safety specific topics (kitchen fires, contacting 911, etc.)
and a variety of other topics as requested. Firefighters also
provide fire extinguisher training at no charge to the public and as
requested by area businesses.
Fire inspections and plan reviews are available upon request for a
nominal fee. Requests for fire inspections and plan reviews are
granted by Fire Chief Bill Johnston.
